While Nissan has been known for its reliable and sleek looking cars for years, the Nissan Sentra model has not always been the winner when it comes to great looks. But, that has all changed with the 2020 Nissan Sentra. This model got the facelift it needed on the outside with the wanted features on the inside. There is no doubt with these changes the Sentra is moving up in its class. Hearing about a redesign has drivers everywhere wanting to know what is different on the inside and out. They also want to know how good the Nissan Sentra actually is. We are here to tell you.
Nissan has decided to make the Sentra resemble the front end of the Altima and the Maxima, giving the Sentra an unmistakable family resemblance. This new grown-up version of the budget-friendly member of the Nissan family is long overdue.
What is most noticeable about the new look is the wider, lower body. It is sleek and touts LED headlights and a floating roof. While it may seem overdone on the bigger sedans, the floating roof works well with the Sentra. This new model also has some unique and beautiful single color choices, tricolors, and available shades.
- Electric Blue
- Brilliant Silver
- Gun Metallic
- Aspen White
- Scarlet Ember
- Super Black
- Fresh Powder
There are also two-toned color options that give the body an even more sporty appearance.
While the exterior is the real showstopper on the 2020 Nissan Sentra, Nissan didn’t forget to upgrade the interior as well. The interior of the new Sentra features more available upgrades on the higher trims then previously provided. On the higher trim levels you will find standard features such as an infotainment system, but with an upgrade you can have a larger screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. There is also an option for quilted leather on the available zero-gravity seats.
The new interior is not what you would typically expect from the Nissan Sentra, but it is a nice surprise that drivers are enjoying at a lower price.
Last but definitely not least is the engine. With the Sentra typically being the budget member of the family, the engine has not always been high powered. However, with a new look inside and out, Nissan decided that the engine needed to match. Drivers agree. The new engine has more power than its predecessor as well as an upgrade to the chassis and powertrain systems.
The engine has gone from a 1.8-liter inline-four engine to a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four. With this upgraded engine you will experience 149 horsepower and 145 pounds per foot of torque.
There are only good things happening with the 2020 Nissan Sentra. From the exterior to the interior and all the way to the engine, it will be hard to rival in its class. Nissan made a wise move when they upgraded their budget sedan.
